What shades do you companion Easter with? There are Colors of Easter hues — the pastel colorations and shades of the Christian Church. You can use those precise shades in your Easter-themed print projects including egg pix, greeting playing cards, invites, signs and decorations.

Easter heralds the start of spring when new leaves appear on trees and the grass turns green once more. A palette of several specific colorations — normally pastels — inspires the freshness of spring. Easter-themed or springtime print or web projects can gain from using a combination of these colorations. At the least, they offer an excellent starting point for a picture design that asserts spring to the people who view it.

Have a basket of various shade eggs or at the least one egg for every of the Easter colors (maximum come in red, orange, pink, blue, green & yellow). You may also bypass out eggs for every child to preserve as you talk, & then they are able to carry up their egg while the shade is called.

What Are Pastel Colors?

A pastel color is any low-saturation, light or subdued color. The most common pastels are light shades of blue, pink, green, yellow and lavender. Light shades of orange, coral and turquoise are also suitable springtime pastels. All pastels are suitable for graphic designs with an Easter or spring theme.

The Symbolism of Easter Colors

Pastel colors symbolize rebirth, new growth, and new beginnings. Specific meanings assigned to individual colors include:

  • Yellow represents joy and happiness. Yellow is the sun shining on a clear spring day.
  • Green represents hope, birth, and renewal. It is grass and leaves turning green again and new plants emerging.
  • Pink is a fresh beginning, a healthy new start, and playfulness.
  • Light Orange represents the dawn of a new day and a new season.
  • Lavender and other light purple colors suggest something special.
  • Blue is the color of the sky and of water. It suggests peace and harmony. It’s a clear blue sky and the rain that brings forth the new spring growth.

Using Easter Colors in Design Files

Use pastel colors to suggest Easter and springtime in any of your designs. When using light colors like these pastels, mix in a darker, brighter or more saturated color. It provides contrast and prevents the design from looking washed out.

When you select colors for a graphic design project that prints in ink on paper, use CMYK formulations for the colors in your page layout software or choose a PMS spot color. If you are working on a design that will be viewed on a computer monitor, use RGB color percentages. Use Hex codes when you are working with HTML, CSSand SVG
